Tompengu is an American retired director and screenwriter of Arrestare Films and Legacy Studios. Tompengu was the co-founder of Legacy Studios, and is currently retired from ROBLOXiwood due to college.
History[]
Tompengu joined ROBLOX in September 2008, where he joined his real life friends Thunder162 and Moltak118. He quickly gained friends, including producer of Alien Koprio.
Tompengu is also known for his games Toy Story Land and Detection.
Tompengu also originally came up with the idea of Alien in 51 in 2008, shortly after he joined, with Thunder162 and Moltak118.
In 2010, Koprio and Tompengu made a deal to create Tom's first feature, Alien in 51. Alien was originally conceived in 2008. After months of casting changes and pre-production, Alien filming began in June 2011. After a break in August 2011, production started back up and ended in November 2011. The film was uploaded on YouTube and received positive feedback, including winning three awards at Brisingric's first awards show. Tompengu also wrote and acted in the award winning short film Meetings at Arrestare.
In March 2012, Arrestare Films disbanded after Koprio left ROBLOX.
In summer 2012, Tompengu went to set designer OliveAbuse and began production on Before 51. The film's anticipated release date was May 2013. Tompengu wrote the film and directed it while also starring as Josek/Charles Koy. However, the film was cancelled after his retirement on June 27, 2013.
While known for his work behind the camera, Tompengu is credited for acting in several films. Tom acted in Alien in 51 and Before 51. He occasionally stars in films directed by DonCurrency/CosimoValuta. He played the pope in the 2011 film December 21, 2012: The End of Roblox. Tom also plays and has a character named after him in the 2013 film The Revenger. In 2013, he acted again in CosimoValuta's The Story of the House.
After careful consideration, Tompengu officially announced his retirement from ROBLOXiwood on June 27, 2013, leaving the production of Before 51 shelved. He left to focus on his career outside of ROBLOX, hoping to focus on preparing for college and to begin writing screenplays.
On July 5th, tompengu announced he and Legacy Studios would be coming out from retirement in order to make one last feature and possibly one last short film. Tom said it was his final goodbye to ROBLOX and ROBLOXiwood, and hoped the film would "leave a lasting legacy". On September 13th, he announced that the film would be a remake of Alien in 51, titled The Alien in 51.
