Psychological
Adventure
The Rescind Cinematic Universe (RCU) is a superhero franchise directed by somekiryu. It is distributed by Neverwakening Productions.
Plot
Throughout time, heroes and villains have risen, contending with each other for influence, peace, and power. However, as time goes on, the lines between good and evil become blurred, and it begins to seem as though neither ever existed.
Production History
The Rescind Cinematic Universe began in 2009 with Mike Hike. After Mike Hike ended, two new superheroes were introduced; Vengeance and Daniel. Both superheroes had their respective movies, and ended up joining Mike in Rescind, released in 2013. It was followed by two sequels, Rescind II and Rescind III, also released the same year. Daniel's movie, Eclipse, was later removed from the series.
After the events of Rescind III, the world had been altered significantly, resulting in the short Anhedonia. Darkvalk: Dissonance also takes place shortly after Rescind III.
However, in 2016, somekiryu released Earthmover and Bloodhail. Soon after, The Lamentations of Castiel -- which was written, filmed, and edited in a single day -- was released, covering the entire series' story so far.
In 2017, the entire RCU began to be rebooted, starting with Eclipse. Eclipse was rebooted with Aphelion, Mike Hike with Numbers, Vengeance with The Ghost of Aokigahara and Bloodhail with Hiraeth. Mike's character arc was drastically changed as well as Daniel's and Noak's.
Reception
Reception to the cinematic universe has been generally positive. Many of the movies have been remastered or rebooted for consistency throughout.
Installments
Movies appear as they do in the Rescind Timeline; movies are in chronological order.
